Taxing the brain!
I’m not good at tax.
Actually, I’m great at tax, not because I know how to do it, but because I know some WONDERFUL people who do. So, if I need help with tax, I know exactly who to ask. Which means that I never get tax wrong!
It’s one of the (many) benefits of being a serial networker.
Despite my aversion to anything tax related (in fact, my aversion to anything that relates to adding up even with a calculator, or a giant abacus!) it came as quite a surprise that I have been asked to be the guest speaker at an event being run by a firm of accountants (the fabulous Alliotts), where the main speaker is a tax partner (the talented Clair Dart) and where the topic is tax (is your business tax efficient).
So, I’m not sure if I’m there to actually talk about how your company can be tax efficient from a legal perspective, or they just want me for comic relief to see how much of a fool I can make of myself!
