Family law drop-in clinic
Free family law drop-in clinic every Thursday at Kleyman Solicitors
When legal problems arise in a family, this can be a very stressful time for everyone involved, and in particular very traumatic for the children. We understand the sensitive nature of your family law problems and we offer the opportunity to you to have an informal and friendly chat with us about your family law problems and concerns.
Our family law drop-in clinic provides free initial expert advice to individuals on a range of family law matters. The advice is delivered in person by one of our experienced family law solicitors and can cover family matters such as:
- Divorce
- Separation
- Private children matters such as parental responsibility, child arrangements, child maintenance and prohibited steps orders
- Financial settlements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
How do I book or cancel my place?
You can book your place by emailing us at kathryn@kleymansolicitors.com, ellie@kleymansolicitors.com or by telephone on 0203 887 8740.
If for any reason you cannot attend the slot that you have booked, you should email us at kathryn@kleymansolicitors.com, ellie@kleymansolicitors.com or call us on 0203 887 8740 as soon as possible. We are always happy to work around your schedule and rearrange another more convenient time for you to come in and have an initial meeting with one of our specialist solicitors.
How does the drop-in session work?
Once you have booked your place to attend our family law drop-in session and received your booking confirmation from us, one of our team from the family law department will have an initial friendly chat with you about your problem that will not take longer than an hour. The initial appointment is free of charge. If you need anything further from us, we can talk about fees at the time.
During the initial meeting, the team member will take your contact details, go through a standard checklist with you following our family law department’s policy and ask you questions about the family law problem you have. After obtaining sufficient details about your problem, we can suggest options about how you can resolve your problem informally or by legal means, explain what the next steps will be, for example, in order to start the legal process if they think you have a good case, give an estimate of how much you might need to pay in legal fees and what hourly rate the work will be charged on.
Following the meeting, we will follow up by sending a detailed email to you or a letter if you prefer correspondence by post setting out what they discussed with you at the initial meeting, including their initial advice to you, and confirming what you will need to do next if you want to go ahead with the legal action.
I do not have a family matter, but I still need to speak to a solicitor, can I still come and talk to you?
Yes, you can come to see us about any of your legal problems and concerns. We offer specialist legal advice on a wide range of matters such as commercial, property, employment, litigation, debt recovery and wills and probate.
Whether you just want a coffee and an informal chat (we can do tea as well!) or you are ready to take legal action, we can offer both. We are here to answer your questions, give you professional advice and guidance, help you decide whether you need further legal advice to resolve your problem and explain how we can assist you with that.
