Get them a gift that lasts a lifetime!

I don’t need to look at my calendar to know that it’s nearly Christmas.

All I need to do is look at the TV and see the plethora of ads that are clearly aimed at Christmas shopping, to know that Santa is definitely checking his list, at least twice.

It starts with adverts for toys during evening programming – clearly aimed at parents, or grandparents!  Or perhaps just people who haven’t grown up yet!

Then there are the increasingly baffling ads for perfumes and aftershaves.  Apparently, men want to smell like they’ve been in a desert all day with wild animals, and women want to smell like they’re very rich and go to lots of parties dressed in gold.

If all of that wasn’t enough of a giveaway, there is the competition for the most emotive and talked about big brand ad, with enough money being spent on high tec, high spec and high celebrity content to keep me in champagne for the rest of my life – or at least until New Year.

So, I decided this year that I’d do my own, unashamedly blatant Christmas sales pitch.

For the person in your life that has everything, get them a gift that will last them a lifetime – a Lasting Power of Attorney.

Nothing says “I love you” more than a document that will give them power over your medical or financial welfare when you can’t do it any more for yourself!

Or you could offer to be the one that looks after their affairs if they lose their sanity, possibly as a result of having heard “Last Christmas” once too often or far too early.
